Axiom9
Axiom9 started in 2002 in Waterloo, Ontario. Our migration from print to the Internet in 2004 was a natural progression. Waterloo is home to three universities and two colleges dubbing it ‘Canada’s Technological Triangle.’ The talent base is extraordinary. The technological advances enabled us to tap into new tools and online environments before they were considered ‘cultural.’ Blackberry was born in Waterloo. The creator of java lives less than a 2 hour away.
Axiom9 currently has 10 regular team members, and rallies to build remote-access coalitions with another 30 professionals from around the globe. We believe that it is more important to develop strong teams than to build large offices.
We polled our resources under one banner, on one platform, creating the fundamental marketing platform that became Axiom9. We take growth in stride. We now have a marketing presence in London UK, Detroit USA, and Waterloo Canada.
Our innovation and creativity caught the eye of Mindsplinter films, including several movie professionals who are both clients and part of our team. We recently worked with the team who owns Disney’s Ernest franchise to create a viral video for our client.
We did not jump on the acquisitions bandwagon. While other companies were buying new resources, we invested in our team. Building an analytics team and strengthening our programming team proved a smart move. While the competition was dealing with amalgamation problems, our employees were building strong relationships and enhancing their skills. We took this mindset farther as we redesigned in 2009. We now have one team that specializes on building social networking platforms, another for web and SEO design, and another for customer engaging analysis and development.
In 2009, the regional government invested in our company. This enabled us the ability to improve our local resources. We saw an almost immediate improvement in focus and collaboration. Our freelance professionals now work from our computers, enjoying the latest software and equipment. Production increased 20%. Communication between the client and individual professionals increased 50%. Our ability to offer 100%, live, transparency to clients decreased frustration. Our clients can not only watch the team work, live via our office and back office, they can also work with the team, assigning tasks, and making suggestions immediately. Some clients responded favorably to this environment. Other clients appreciated the elimination of ‘meetings.’
Today, Axiom9 is led by Suzanne James, CEO, systems analysis, project manager. Programming and platform development is led by Mark Whitbeck, AAS-IT, Database designer, and Marketing Graduate.
